Return Of The Eternal Warrior (ONE SHOT)

Hehehe, This is my first CaiusxLightning oneshot, if people like it. I shall make a story of it. This is so bad.. ._.

Lightning was laying down at the shore of New Bodhum with her face in the sand, heavily injured by the fight she had with Snow Villers, the fiance of her sister, Serah..

I shall not allow you to hurt Serah again...

Snow had a grumpy, yet worried look. "Hey, Lightning... wake up, It isn't time to take a nap here."

Lightning growled, with alot of afford, she stood up weakly. "You have broken so many promises to her.. And now she's gone again. Just by the fear of you hurting her! I shall not allow that.. This needs a end." She tried to slash his chest.  A deep cut was in engraved into Snow's chest.

He grunted in pain, That final cut got his weak point, as he fell down onto his knees and hands. "Fine.. I shall leave her alone... This isn't over, Lightning."

"If you want to, I can end this right now." Lightning scoffed, raised her gunblade to his
back, pointing the blade at the place where his heart is.

"N-No! Don't!" Snow begged, he stood up and tried to run, Lightning didn't stopped him.

After a while, Lightning collapsed, but then A hooded man, cloaked in dark purple. catched her. the man whipsered something unhearable. "Lightning.."

The hooded man brought her to a safe place, trying to bandage her slowly. "You are really stubborn.."

The pink haired warrior finally awoke, looking at the purple cloaked man. "W-Who are you.. And...did you..bandaged me? How dare you.." She tried to get herself up, but the hooded man holded her down.

"Calm down, i am someone you know for a long time. Just.. stay calm. I am back soon." He stood up. smiling lightly. Lightning.. I had waited..no, longed for her voice. After all what happend in Valhalla.. I am a cruel monster. yet it feels like she knows the true "me" that was locked for many years.

Lightning rested on the soft grass, looking around when he gets back. "Who was that... His voice sounds like Caius, but that cannot be.." She shook her head in disagreement. "Why do i still have him in my mind, yes.. He was foolish, yet i can see he had doubts, hesitation and worry. He needs a second chance to live again.. Well. I guess.."

Caius dropped his coat behind the rock. smiling. "I finally found her... It is best to say sorry to her for what i have done... And.. Tell her the things i wanted to say when we talked in Valhalla, not as enemies. but as..friends." He remembered the night they were talking in the temple. about how their life looked like, There wasn't that much diffrence, they both endured many losses, pain and anxiety.

He slowly walked away from the rock he was hiding behind, smiling lightly.

Lightning looked at him, completely confused. "Caius?! But how?!" She felt her heart was skipping a beat, she was completely happy to see him

"I guess Etro gave me another chance and brought my life back into this world, with one promise. I shall never do something that shall bring chaos to Pulse." He responded, with a smile so pure.

Lightning stood up weakly, walking to him. "I guess.. welcome home, Caius. "She nearly fell out of balance, Caius catched her in his arms.

"You have to be careful while you are still injured, The wounds can get worser if you keep on moving maybe." He said with a frown, still holding her closely.

The pink-haired warrior had a faint blush on her cheek. "Fine.." Out of nowhere, she pulled him into a caring embrace, making Caius speechless.

"U-Uh.. I have something to tell you, Lightning. I have so many regrets about my actions to Pulse, also i have them for you. Forgive me.. please." Caius wrapped his arms around her, petted her pink soft hair.

Lightning smiled. "But i already have forgiven you, remember?"

"Yeah... I forgot about that." Caius chuckled.

"...Hey, Caius? I..." Pause. "Nevermind." She had no guts for the moment.
Caius looked at her. "Tell me." He knew what Lightning was going to say, you just could hear it in her voice.

"I have missed you, dearly... I have these.. feelings for you, Serah teached me a bit around when she was still here." said Lightning softly. Why? Why for Etro's sake am i feeling like this? He was my fated enemy in Valhalla. he tried to kill me for a long time, yet i am feeling i need to help him though everything.. He helped me that night so much.. I suppose it is humanly to fall in love for someone like him.

Caius had no words for what she said. he looked her deeply in her hazel eyes. "I have missed you too. and... I-I do have such feelings aswell for you." He kissed her soft lips with a small hesitation.
Lightning returned the kiss. blushing furiously.
The two talked for hours as they fell in love in every word, every heartbeat.
